The SUR Office Block Master Plan is conceived as a first phase of a larger Master Plan in Al Sharqiyah Governorate that includes Port, Commercial areas, Mixed use areas, Industrial areas, Residential areas, Public & entertainment facilities. The Offices Block will act as nerve center of the commercial and economic activity of Sur. A Building Code was created to set out the minimum standards to be applied to the building plots, infrastructure and amenity space on site. The purpose is to ensure that a high and consistent standard of design is maintained throughout the Offices Block to provide a sustainable and stimulating working environment whilst at the same time enabling the dive se requirements of individual occupiers to be met. Multiple buildings will be housed within the plot, which will also contain meeting and social spaces open and available to the entire community.
