The project concerns the construction of a new school complex in “Quartiere 4” of Florence for the ITIS Meucci and IIS Galilei institutes with related gyms. The idea is to create an aggregation that dialogues with the city through the large green area with the aim of connecting this new urban dimension to the city and the surrounding landscape. The project’s
mission, with particular reference to the intended use, is to create a system of buildings that meet the requirements of safety, maximum internal comfort, improved psychophysical and aesthetic perception of the place, reduction of management and maintenance costs with the most advanced standards of environmental protection (CAM – LEED). The approach has therefore been, since the present phase, one of integration between all the disciplines involved.
