For the F&amp;M team, this is more than just a news item: it marks the moment when years of work have been transformed into a real, usable piece of infrastructure, serving around 1,000 heavy goods vehicles every day, which can now reach the port without having to cross the city.<\/p>\n<p>The Ponte del Papa is the only arch bridge with superimposed decks in Europe. Structures, geotechnics, traffic management, site organisation: final and detailed design from A to Z, as part of the Extraordinary Programme for the Port of Genoa.<\/p>\n<p>In 2023, it won the OICE Award for best infrastructure project.<\/p>\n<p>Today, those lanes are used by those transporting goods to the port.
